Soheil Mosun Limited is a custom architectural manufacturer and design build company. They are one of the world's leading custom fabricators and deliver work that is absolutely spectacular. When the 30,000 square foot roof on their building had reached the end of its service life and needed replacing, they discovered that Eco-Tech's exceptionally high standards of quality matched their own. 75 tons of stone were removed from the roof, cleaned and carefully disposed of as clean fill. 5000 square feet of saturated material was removed and repaired before insulation was replaced to restore the integrity of the roof as a vapor barrier. Additional insulation was added on top, increasing the roof's R-Value from an R6 to an R12. After a membrane of highly reflective PVC was installed, the drying potential of the roof was increased and the wetting potential was decreased, creating an entirely sustainable and self-drying building envelope. Cooling this particular building was a much more taxing chore, since manufacturing equipment within the building helped heat the structure during the winter months. With the application of a new reflective Eco-Tech roof, they now save at least $3000 a year on cooling costs alone.
